Our trip to Holland

This past weekend we went to Holland. It was truly unbelievable. The tulip fields were so gorgeous and hard to describe (even with a picture). We visited the Keukenhof park, saw windmills and spent a day in Amsterdam. There we visited the Rijks museum and saw several paintings by Rembrandt, shopped in the famous antique square, went to the Heineken brewery (which was so fun!) and walked through the red light district. Kaia was so good and so cute in all the tulips, she even got her picture taken in a pair of huge wooden shoes (not only by us but by 100s of tourists as well :)). I did make it home with a pair of wooden shoes of my own and several other fun things for Kaia. It was such a great weekend that we will never forget!!!

At 18 weeks

Kaia is TRULY TEETHING. Everything goes in the mouth. She loves cold teething rings and sucking on fingers (hers or anyone elses who will let her). She is squealing and laughing more than ever. She seems like she is trying so hard to talk and she constantly is making noise. We have a feeling she is going to talk early and A LOT!!!
She isn't too interested in trying to roll over yet but she is definitely trying to pull upright (as you can see in the picture). Her little baby abs are getting so tight because she is constantly trying to pull upward.
She weighed 15.6 and was 25.5 inches long at her 4 month check up. She is now in the 75% for height and 70% for weight. Her little thighs and cheeks are getting chubby but it is so cute (too bad it isn't cute when you get older).
She LOVES her Oma. She is definitely her favoritie person who lives close. When she sees her she smiles so big.

Kaia's First Easter!

Kaia's first Easter was so special. We went to church in our little town. We didn't really understand much of the service but the church was beautiful and the singing was so amazing. The weather could not have been better so we took a long walk and then sat outside. Kaia wasn't really digging her tights and Easter dress but she sure did look cute!

Kaia and Mommy on Easter Sunday!

Look who came to visit!!

It's Mr. Sikorski!!! We were so happy to be able to spend the day with Mr. Sikorski while he had a quick stop over in Germany. We had lunch on the Mosel and got to hang out at the house! Kaia enjoyed meeting him and showing off her sweater made by the talented Mrs. Sikorski!
