Daddy's PROUDEST Moment yet

Kristian took Kaia to Mt. Charleston yesterday for her first time on the slopes. They both had so much fun (I think daddy was just as excited as Kaia). He said the people out there were so great, cheering Kaia on, and encouraging her even from the chair lift. Many people must have flashed her a "thumbs up" because it is her new favorite thing to do. Kristian said she was so excited and not at all scared. At first, she skied in between Kristian's legs and then all of a sudden was determined to "do it myself". After that, she was on her own!!
The videos are shot by Kristian, skiing backwards, holding the camera in one hand and helping Kaia with the other (so excuse the bad cinematography, I personally LOVED every second of it). They are going to try and get in one last ski trip before we head out to Texas for the holidays!!

These clips are Kaia's first few tries. So fun!

Here is their last run on the hill....Kristian is OH SO PROUD!!!

Some still shots of the day :)

A view of Kaia's first bunny hill :)

The Polar Express

We made the 4 hour trip to Williams, AZ this past weekend to ride the Polar Express! It was so magical! We all wore our pajamas and took a ride to the "North Pole". Santa even made a surprise appearance on the train and gave each child a bell from his sleigh. We had cookies and hot chocolate and sang many Christmas carols. Kaia was loving every minute! She also loved playing in the snow. She threw many snowballs at daddy and kissed a few snowmen :) The hotel was really cute and festive and we had a great time watching just watching her get so excited! If you ever get a chance to go, you will not be disappointed!

Patch Night and Graduation 2009 Bravo Class

Time for another Patch Night and as usual we had a blast! We did our standard...party bus, dinner on the strip and then meet up at the Mix! The night was extra special because once I got to the O Club people told me that Kristian had been voted Top IP of this class! We are so proud of him and all his hard work! Way to go K!!

Graduation! Congrats to the 11 09B students and their families!

NO MORE BINKY!

Hallelujah! I seriously though this child was going to go to college with it! The night of her third birthday we had her throw it in the trash. She cried right afterwards and it took her 2 hours to go to sleep that night with many tears shed (by mommy too!). We had prepared ourselves for a week of heartache but surprisingly after the first hard night, she was fine. She now tells us that she is a big girl, she doesn't need her binky, and that she is a true princess because princesses don't have binkies. Today marks 9 days without it so I think it is safe to say that IT IS GONE FOR GOOD!! Thank goodness that is over with :)

This pic was take several weeks ago! They were too cute on the sofa together so we had to snap a pic!

Kaia and Mormor

Here are some pics of Kaia and Mormor from her birthday weekend. They baked in the kitchen, sang Norwegian songs, and played with her toys!

Kaia turns 3

Kaia had quite the weekend of celebrations! We let her open her gifts on Saturday, headed to the Christmas party, then took her out for a birthday dinner. The following day was her dress-up birthday party! She was loving every minute

Gifts
Since Kaia is SO INTO dress-up we got her many dress-up outfits and accessories and a fun dress-up carousel where she can stor all her things! She was so excited and had to try on every outfit immediately!

Birthday Dinner at Chilis
We went to one of Kaia's favorite places for dinner and she was surprised with a Princess balloon tiara and wand!

Birthday Party
We had a small dress-up party for Kaia with 4 of her little girlfriends! They had so much fun playing dress-up, decorating their own princess mirrors and bouncing in the bouncy castle!!!

Squadron Christmas Party

Kaia had so much fun decorating cookies, making snowmen and reindeer food, writing a letter to santa and of course, seeing Santa arrive in a jet! This season is so unbelievably fun because of our vivacious three-year-old who bubbles over with excitement over every tine Christmas detail!

Kristian 9 months

Kristian is 9 months already! Crawling everywhere and now sitting up from a laying down position. He is pretty much unstopable! He is disliking baby food more and more and LOVING regular food. Whatever we are eating, HE WANTS IT! He loves waffles, any fruit, grilled cheese, pasta, and cut up veggies. Six teeth and counting so we are convinced he is ready for big boy food!

Happy Birthday Mormor

Mormor came to town to help us celebrate Kaia's birthday but we surprised her with a little celebration for her birthday!!
