Seriously, this is what our life is like now....

Kaia has been really into being "fancy" as you may have seen in previous posts but today she had a princess themed birthday party to go to and oh my goodness, she had the time of her life.
She totally LOVED all her princess accessories and had to stare at herself in the mirror with it all on. She says, "ooohhhh ear rings". She also loves her "tiarrrrrrrra". When I started to undress her to get ready for nap time, she was really upset.
I have to say I am a little worried this is beginning so early but she sure is cute :)

Brunch with David

We had such a great time with David Lord on Saturday. Kristian and David went to high school together and I had heard many stories so it was so great to finally meet him. Thanks David for squeezing us into your business trip :) We hope to meet again soon!

She loves being fancy so getting ready for brunch on Saturday was so exciting. Here she is all ready to go!

Her "tomboy" days are gone...for now

Somehow in the past two weeks Kaia has decided to become the prissiest thing you have ever seen! She loves her babies, purses, sunglasses, and her favorite...her Fancy Nancy tutu!
Today going to the store, she HAD TO HAVE her purse (with sunglasses and pretend lip gloss inside) and baby doll in her hands. She wore her sunglasses inside the store the whole time and got very upset when her pink, flower band fell out of her hair. She was begging me to let her wear her tutu to the store but that was a no-go!!!
We are wondering how long this is going to last. I think it is adorable but I think Kristian is having heart palpitations thinking of her at 16...should be hilarious!

Here she s first thing this morning! She was only up for 3 minutes when she said, "Fancy Nancy tutu mommy"!

It's Christmas Again

Even though the tree is down, stockings are all packed away and no more garland, that didn't stop Kaia from being so excited when her Christmas presents arrived from Connecticut!

Our little singer

Lately Kaia has been singing so much! She sings everything she can remember. She tells us (and signs it just in case we can't understand her) to "sing Mommy", "sing Daddy". Then she either sings along or gives us a dirty look until we quit singing and she picks up where we left off! She sings her favorites like, "Twinkle, Twinkle", "ABCs", "BINGO", "Moon, Moon, Moon", and "I see the Moon" and she mostly loves the Norwegian songs her Mormor and Daddy have taught her, "Fola, Fola Blanken" and "Ride, Ride, Ranke". She sings a little bit of the German song, "Bitte, Bitte" that Oma taught her as well.

When in the post office a few weeks ago she went through her whole repertoire of songs and the man behind me kept getting a little closer and then finally asked, what language(s) is she singing in. He was very impressed at our little trilingual baby!! She is too much!
